Voice of Business Call for Nominations

Welcome to the 2022 Voice of Business Call for Nominations. Please fill out the application in one seating and allow yourself ample time to complete the application thoroughly and to the best of your ability. Nominations close January 24, 2022.

All information must be complete before submission.

General Guidelines:

  • Awards are open to both member and non-member business entities or individuals.
  • Non-members must have a location or are actively doing business in Burlington County.
  • The nominator does not have to be a member of the Burlington County Regional Chamber of Commerce.
  • Self nominations are welcomed.
  • Winners between the years 2017-2021 cannot be nominated again and will not be moved on to the voting panel.

2022 BCRCC VOB Awards Categories List

 Voice of Business

The Voice of Business Award honors an individual or company that has demonstrated excellence in commitment to the county business community by meeting three or more of the following criteria:

  • Recruitment of new business to the county.
  • Enhancement of the county’s image.
  • Involvement in community projects.
  • Introduction and / or use of new technologies.
  • Provides leadership in the business community.
  • Actively supports legislative / regulatory action on behalf of business.
  • Increases local employment opportunities.
  • Demonstrates the successful launch entrepreneurial enterprise with potential for long-term growth.
  • Creatively overcoming business adversity.

Business Excellence

(101+ Employees)

The Business Excellence Award honors a business that has demonstrated excellence in commitment to business and economic development of Burlington County.

  • Increasing local employment opportunities
  • Demonstrating leadership & commitment to the community through their involvement in community activities / volunteer work on community projects
  • Exhibiting use of strategic partnerships with other Burlington County companies to promote business within Burlington County
  • Demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit

Business Excellence

(26-100 Employees)

The Business Excellence Award honors a business that has demonstrated excellence in commitment to business and economic development of Burlington County.

  • Increasing local employment opportunities
  • Demonstrating leadership & commitment to the community through their involvement in community activities / volunteer work on community projects
  • Exhibiting use of strategic partnerships with other Burlington County companies to promote business within Burlington County
  • Demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit

 Business Excellence

(Under 25 Employees)

The Business Excellence Award honors a business that has demonstrated excellence in commitment to business and economic development of Burlington County.

  • Increasing local employment opportunities
  • Demonstrating leadership & commitment to the community through their involvement in community activities / volunteer work on community projects
  • Exhibiting use of strategic partnerships with other Burlington County companies to promote business within Burlington County
  • Demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit

 

New Voice

The New Voice Award honors a business that has been in a full time operation for 12 months to 5 years.

  • They demonstrate a commitment to grow their business in Burlington County.
  • Demonstrate a successful launch of an entrepreneurial enterprise with potential for long-term growth.
  • Must be a role model in business.
  • Must be a for-profit entity. This award is not open to non-profits.

 

Community Enrichment

Honors a non-profit organization or agency for its efforts to make Burlington County a better place in which to live and work.

  • Demonstrated evidence that the nominee has made a positive impact on the lives of Burlington County residents.
  • Nominator must demonstrate what the nominee has done in the community, with specific examples of its good work.

 

Public Voice

The Public Voice Award honors an elected official or government entity at the municipal, county, state or national level.

  • Nominee has served in an elected capacity for a minimum of two years.
  • Proven an ally to the business community and helped enrich the area's economic development.
  • Nominee’s actions have resulted in a strong, positive business climate in Burlington County.

 

Outstanding Woman Business Executive

The Outstanding Woman Business Executive Award honors a woman in business that has demonstrated excellence in commitment to business and economic development of Burlington County and the furthermore of women in business and her industry. Female business owners and executives are eligible for the award.

  • Increasing local employment opportunities & promotions for women in business.
  • Demonstrating leadership & commitment to the community through their involvement in community activities / volunteer work on community projects particularly those that empower women & future women in business.
  • Exhibiting use of strategic partnerships with other Burlington County companies to promote business within Burlington County.
  • Mentoring of women in business.
  • Demonstrates use of technology to help raise business and industry awareness.

 

Outstanding Young Professional Award

Honors an outstanding member of the Burlington County business community under 40 years of age who is considered a role model and demonstrates:

  • Outstanding leadership in business.
  • Commitment to the community through active community involvement.
  • Must work for a Burlington County Chamber of Commerce member or be employed by a business located in Burlington County.

 

Outstanding Main Street Business

The nominee must be a for-profit independent business and sell a product directly to consumers.  Retailers, restaurants, bakeries and the similar business are eligible for this award. Nominee demonstrates excellence in commitment to business and community development of their town and Burlington County through:

  • Involvement in local community service and activities.
  • Active promotion of local community activities.
  • Innovation in marketing & visibility.
  • Creative partnerships.
  • Demonstrates an entrepreneurial spirit.

 

Economic Development Award

  • Nominee can be an individual, company, or organization including local business associations such as Urban Enterprise Zones, Main Street organizations, and economic development officials.
  • Demonstrates proactive involvement in promoting business/community growth or revitalization in Burlington County.
  • Demonstrates significant commitment in supporting the Burlington County business community.

 

Personal Excellence Award

(25 & Under Employees)

  • Exemplifies the mission and vision of their employer.
  • Serves as a role model for others.
  • Demonstrates leadership & commitment to the community through their involvement in community activities / volunteer work on community projects.
  • Demonstrates a positive impact on the Burlington County business community.

  • Exemplifies the mission and vision of their employer.
  • Serves as a role model for others.
  • Demonstrates leadership & commitment to the community through their involvement in community activities / volunteer work on community projects.
