Member Spotlight: Deborah Heart & Lung Center

The Deborah story traces its history back to 1922 when the hospital was founded as a tuberculosis sanatorium and pulmonary center. Thousands of TB patients were medically treated and successfully cured by a heroic team of Deborah physicians driven by compassion. In 2025, the Olsen Family Patient Care Pavilion opened, featuring 36 private inpatient suites, making all inpatient rooms private.  The new pavilion includes 36 private inpatient suites, 18 of which are dedicated to critical care and 18 to medical/surgical care. This new addition increases its ability to provide compassionate, high-quality specialized care to patients with cardiac, pulmonary and vascular conditions.  The completion of the pavilion is a key component of the Deborah100 initiative, a multi-phase, over $100 million campus expansion project designed to enhance the hospital’s facilities and services.
