Browns Mills, N.J. — Deborah Heart and Lung Center’s (Deborah) Board of Trustees has announced its newest board members: John F. Bonamo, M.D., MS, FACOG, FACPE, and Glenn Davila, a New Jersey businessman. Both Dr. Bonamo and Mr. Davila are deeply committed to Deborah’s mission and have a strong desire to strengthen the institution that has offered so much to the community.

“I am very happy to welcome our two newest board members to Deborah’s Board of Trustees,” said Jim Andrews, President and CEO of Deborah. “Between Dr. Bonamo’s expertise as a leading healthcare executive in New Jersey and ability to drive high reliable organizations and Mr. Davila’s decades of success as a passionate South Jersey business and community leader, we have exponentially expanded our board’s knowledge base.”

Dr. Bonamo is a physician executive who not only excelled clinically with a distinguished career in obstetrics and gynecology but also, as CEO, helped shape Saint Barnabas (now Cooperman Barnabas) Medical Center into what it is today by introducing multiple clinical programs, leading a cultural shift, and building a destination campus where patients could receive cutting-edge treatment and care.

While Dr. Bonamo has spent most of his career in northern New Jersey, his ties to Long Beach Island is driving him to help improve the health of residents in southern New Jersey by helping Deborah to thrive years into the future. His expertise as a healthcare leader has been recognized and awarded across the State and nation for his transformative work as the Chief Medical and Quality Officer for RWJBarnabas Health.

He serves as an adjunct lecturer at the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health and is a visiting professor at the University of Beijing. He has received numerous industry awards and has been named one of the nation’s top chief medical officers five times by Becker’s Hospital Review.

As the president and owner of Performance Marketing based in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, Mr. Davila has been at the forefront of delivering innovative marketing solutions since serving as part of the team that established the company in 2001. Performance Marketing serves clients across diverse sectors, including healthcare, government, utilities, economic development, and more. Under his leadership, Performance Marketing became one of Southern New Jersey’s leading marketing firms, due in large part to his passion for helping businesses navigate the complexities of modern marketing.

Mr. Davila is deeply committed to donating his expertise to the South Jersey community through numerous leadership roles including serving as the chairman of the Southern New Jersey Development Council. He is on the Advisory Board for the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, the Vice President of Marketing for the Board of Trustees of the Garden State Council of Scouting America, and is a member of the Digital Marketing Advisory Board for Rowan College of New Jersey. Nationally, Mr. Davila is a member of the National Small Business Association’s Leadership Council where he works to shape policies that support economic growth and sustainability for small businesses.

Mr. Davila also has a strong personal connection to Deborah, where his grandmother was successfully treated years before. Following her surgery, she volunteered her time and supported Deborah in her later years. While he holds leadership positions on many advisory boards, Mr. Davila is happy to give back to an institution that had a direct impact on his family.
