Deborah Heart and Lung Center Receives $847,000 to Enhance Cardiac Electrophysiology Labs
Browns Mills, N.J.—Deborah Heart and Lung Center will use $847,000 of federal funding to add new hemodynamics systems to its cardiac electrophysiology labs in an effort to further enhance care to cardiac patients.
The purchase of state-of-the-art CardioLab Hemodynamic Recording and Monitoring Systems to replace systems in its electrophysiology labs will enable Deborah clinicians to monitor and record patients’ vital signs and hemodynamic parameters (blood pressure, blood flow, and oxygen levels within the heart and circulatory system) during invasive cardiac procedures, while streamlining workflows and offering comprehensive data analyses and management within the labs. The systems also offer advanced visualization tools that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiac arrhythmias.
This funding is part of more than $12 million in federal funding that Congressman Herb Conaway Jr., M.D., secured for New Jersey’s third congressional district for 14 different projects that aim to strengthen communities and grow the economy.
It reinforces Deborah’s ongoing commitment to improving cardiac care by offering the latest technological advances available. Many of Deborah’s patients live in rural, underserved parts of the state with below-average health outcomes, and the enhancements to its electrophysiology labs will increase capacity, thereby contributing to greater access to high-quality care.
